It’s time to mark your calendars for our next Virtual Chai Chat: August 19 at 6 pm EST. I’m trying a different time to see if we can accommodate more of our varying time zones (including our UK friends).
My hope is to host these monthly, hour-long virtual chai chats via Google Meet as an opportunity to draw closer to each other and build community around Jesus and Justice. The work of justice can often feel lonely and isolating; but it doesn’t have to be this way. Think of this as a monthly virtual small group led by me where we have open conversations on all things Jesus and Justice - in addition to any other related or unrelated topics you’d like to chat or ask questions about. Oh, and bring your favourite chai (or samosas) along if you’d like!
We had some beautiful things come out of our July Chai Chat - including an attendee who said this:
“It was so good to hang out! I have no (other) spaces to verbally process the justice related things I’m thinking through.”
I love this because South Asian culture is very much a “lounge and have deep discussions over chai” culture!
As a reminder: I’ll be keeping these virtual chai chats only to paid subscribers to encourage more intimate conversations where we can go deeper into discussion topics. Think of these as living room small group conversations on Jesus and Justice. And do come with your best questions (or justice-related musings) for myself and our group!
